BOX SCORE

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Tim Manning (Concord, Ohio) gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead 5:35 into the first period by taking advantage of some confusion in front of the crease.
  • After Coleton Cianci (Kirkland, Quebec) brought the puck up the ice and found Spencer Silver (North Wales, Pa.) for a shot from the left circle, Manning cleaned up the save by sneaking a shot by the moving goalie for the score.

  • Albertus benefited from another scrambled play at the 17:17 mark of the first to go ahead 2-0.
  • Alex Gagnon (Montreal, Quebec) started the play by slapping a one-timer from the left circle that was blocked. Cameron Weitzman (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec) then got a touch on the puck in front of the crease before a persistent Ryan Colwell (Plainedge, N.Y.) sent it into the back of the net to make it a 2-0 game.

  • Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario) made the most of his two-goal cushion by recording 27 saves on his way to the shutout victory.
