WINTHROP, Mass. – After guiding the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team to a 2-1 double-overtime win over Suffolk University on Saturday, freshman goalie Garfield Robinson (West Haven, Conn.) was named both the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week.

In his first collegiate start, Robinson made nine saves on 10 shots on goal (.900 save percentage) in 105:37 minutes to hold the Rams to one goal on their home field. The rookie began the contest at his strongest, making five of his nine stops in the first half.

Robinson joins fellow freshman Jared Brennan (North Haven, Conn.) as Albertus players to receive GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week honors. Brennan snagged the accolade after week one with a pair of nonconference shutouts.

The Falcons return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 18, with a 7 p.m. tilt against Elms College in Chicopee, Mass.
