HOW IT HAPPENED
Anna Maria got things started, lasering a pair of shots towards Garfield Robinson (West Haven, Conn.) early in the contest, but the Falcons' keeper denied the hosts and kept the score tied at 0-0.

On the Falcons' fourth corner of the first half, Cortez needed no help to put the visitors up 1-0, sailing the kick over everyone's head before it continued to bend into the back of the net. The goal, which put Albertus up 1-0 25:43 into the first half, was Cortez's fifth of the season.

The final 24-plus minutes of the half were scoreless, with the Falcons owning a 1-0 advantage after the first 45 minutes of play.

Thirteen minutes into the second half, the AMCATS struck. Anna Maria brought the ball upfield on a transition attempt when Hezekiah Adeyeye sent a long throw-in to a wide-open Nick Lawrence, who quickly fired a shot into the back of the cage to knot the score at 1-1.

With the score tied, the two team's traded possession for the next 17 minutes until Albertus regained the lead, 2-1. In the 76th minute, Bobi netted the eventual game-winner, lifting a shot from 15 yards out right over the keeper's head. Abdoul Aremu (West Haven, Conn.) was critical to the play, stealing possession from the AMCATS before sending a pass to Bobi.

Cortez cemented the win in the 84th minute on a penalty-kick goal following an Anna Maria handball in the box. The Falcons held on for the final six minutes to earn a 3-1 road victory.
