Lauria, Coelho Named To All-GNAC Second Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Lorenzo Lauria (New Haven, Conn.) and Aiden Coelho (Naugatuck, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team were both named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Second Team as the 2025 major awards and all-conference teams were announced.

Michael Abayomi (Berlin, Conn.) was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship team.

Lauria - who made the All-GNAC first team last season - finished his season with 23 points, which included tying his career high in goals with 10 to go with three assists. He was fourth in the GNAC in goals.

Lauria had two multi-goal games on the season, including a hat trick in a 4-3 win over Saint Joseph's College of Maine on October 4th. He also had two goals and an assist in a win over the University of Hartford on September 16th.

Coelho finished fourth in the GNAC in points with 26, which included career highs in goals with nine and assists with eight.

Coelho had three games during the season with three more more points, including a goal and two assists in the win over Saint Joseph's (Me.) and had three points in back-to-back wins over Hunter and Elms. He also had two game-winning goals on the season, including the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Norwich University to open GNAC play.

Abayomi, a first-year at Albertus, finished with a goal and an assist on the season.
