Winthrop, Mass. – Freshman Zak Levine (Hamden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's tennis team has been named to the 2019 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference Second Team for singles' play as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.

The GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team was also announced today and freshman Alessandro Proscino (Hamden, Conn.) represented the Falcons on the squad. Proscino appeared in 13 matches for the Falcons this year and finished with an overall record of 5-7 in singles and a 5-8 mark in doubles.

Levine put an exclamation point on an impressive freshman campaign by picking up all-conference honors. He finished the season with an overall record of 9-5 and was voted GNAC Rookie of the Week back on April 1. The nine wins in singles play were the highest on the team and his 17 total wins on the season topped the squad as well. In doubles play, he earned eight wins at the No. 1 spot, including a pair of conference wins against Rutgers-Camden and Rutgers-Newark. His rookie campaign was also highlighted by an eight-game winning streak in singles play.
