With runners on first and second, freshman Alyssa Puccilli (Milford, Conn.) recorded an RBI single to plate the eventual game-winning run as Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.) scored to give Albertus a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth inning.  The Falcons went on to edge Lasell by that score to improve to 13-14 on the year and 6-9 in GNAC play.

With the win, the Falcons have now won three-straight, while Lasell fell to 6-22 on the year and 3-13 in league action.

Pucculli finished the game 3-for-4, while Brittney Urciuoli (Newington, Conn.) also had three hits, while adding one RBI and one run scored. 

After Lasell took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, Albertus tied the game at one in the top of the third as three-consecutive singles, including an RBI single by Urciuoli, led the Falcons.  Michelle Barillaro (Meriden, Conn.) led off the inning with a single before she moved to third on a Jamie Vesciglio (Stratford, Conn.) single.  Barillaro then scored on Urciuoli's base hit.

Lasell tallied its second run of the game in the bottom of the frame with an RBI single by Erin Larghi.

The Falcons once again tied the score with a run in the top of the fifth.  Urciuoli got on base with a bunt single before stealing second to get into scoring position.  After moving to third on a groundout by Veronica Hribko (East Haven, Conn.), Urciuoli scored on a passed ball.

In the top of the eighth, Figueroa was placed on second and after two outs and a Jackie Medina (Bridgeport, Conn.) walk, Puccilli came through with the single.

Medina earned the win on the mound as she improved to 8-9 on the year. Medina allowed nine hits, six walks and two earned runs in eight innings of work.  Eileen Bergin took the loss to fall to 1-11 on the year. She allowed eight hits, three runs and struck out six in eight innings.
