Rivier used six runs in the sixth inning to take an eventual 6-3 win over the Albertus Magnus softball team on Saturday afternoon.

The Falcons struck first when Brittney Urciuoli (Newington, Conn.) tripled to right field to score Jackie Medina (Bridgeport, Conn.) from third, giving Albertus a 1-0 lead.

Rivier scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning as they were led by three hits. Rivier was led by a two-RBI single by Kirstie Clark in the inning.

The Falcons added two runs in the bottom of the frame led by a triple from Alyssa Puccilli (Milford, Conn.) which scored Urciuoli from first.  Puccilli later scored on a groundout by Isabel Lopez (West Haven, Conn.).

Medina threw all seven innings to fall to 8-11 on the year.  She allowed six runs on five hits, while walking seven and striking out eight.

Hillary Tarr earned the win for the Raiders as she went all seven innings, giving up six hits and three runs.
