  • 2018-19 GNAC Academic All-Conference Honorees Announced

    Winthrop, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its All-Academic Team for the 2018-19 school year. This year, 41 student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 1,030 members of the Academic Team from 13 full-time institutions and nine associate member institutions in the conference.

    Winthrop, Mass. – Freshman Kayla Resto (Shelton, Conn.) and Jess Stettinger (East Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College softball team earned All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) honors as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. Resto and Stettinger both landed on the Second Team.

    Providence, R.I. – The Albertus Magnus College softball team saw its season come to a close on Tuesday afternoon at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex as the Falcons fell to Johnson & Wales University by a score of 2-0 in the first round of the 2019 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Softball Tournament.
  • Softball Takes Two from Regis (Mass.) in GNAC Play

    Weston, Mass. – The Albertus Magnus College softball team concluded the 2019 regular season with a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader sweep over Regis College on Saturday afternoon at the Regis Softball Field. The Falcons claimed the opener in five innings by a score of 9-1 before taking the nightcap from the Pride, 10-2.
  • Softball Defeats Lasell in Game One, 2-1; Game Two Suspended

    New Haven, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College softball team edged past Lasell College, 2-1, on a rainy Friday afternoon at Shea Stadium in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. However, the second game of the GNAC doubleheader was postponed in the third inning due to lightning and rain. No make-up date has been determined.

    Paxton, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College softball team swept Anna Maria College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon on the campus of WPI. The Falcons took game one in five innings, 18-3, before securing the shutout in the nightcap, 9-0.

Four teams – Albertus Magnus College, Southern Connecticut State University, Milford and Branford – competed in the tournament.

    Brooklyn, N.Y. – The Albertus Magnus College softball team improves to 6-4 on the season as the Falcons swept Brooklyn College in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon at Brooklyn College Field. Albertus Magnus took the first game of the double bill, 18-0 (5 innings), and closed out the afternoon with a 15-2 (5 innings) win in finale.

In total, the Falcons will take to the diamond 40 times, highlighted by their annual spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. and 14 home contests.

    New Haven, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College Athletic Department takes great pride in giving back to local communities and for the fourth straight year, Falcon student-athletes, coaches and administration surpassed the athletic department goal of 600 hours. All of our student-athletes, coaches and administration spent their Thanksgiving and Christmas break volunteering within their community and in total finished with 840 hours.
