Softball Announces 2019 Spring Schedule

New Haven, Conn. – Albertus Magnus College softball Head Coach Ed Emielita (ninth season) has announced his team's schedule for the upcoming 2019 season. In total, the Falcons will take to the diamond 40 times, highlighted by their annual spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. and 14 home contests.

The Falcons open the 2019 slate in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and will play a series of eight games over a five-day span as part of the Fastpitch Dreams Classic.

Following the trip down south, Albertus remains on the road as the Falcons take on Brooklyn (Mar. 19) and Manhattanville (Mar. 20) in a pair of non-conference doubleheaders. Three days later, Albertus will host MCLA (Mar. 23) in its home opener at the Shea Softball Complex followed by a Monday afternoon doubleheader at Pine Manor (Mar. 25).

Albertus starts the month of April with a six-game home stretch, taking on Bay Path (Apr. 3), Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Apr. 6) and Simmons (Apr. 7). The Falcons then hit the road once again for games at Coast Guard (Apr. 9), Anna Maria (Apr. 13) and Johnson & Wales (Apr. 14) before returning to New Haven to host in-state rival Saint Joseph's (CT) (Apr. 18). After the conference showdown against the Blue Jays, Albertus closes out the week with a road doubleheader against Suffolk University (Apr. 20).

For the remainder of the season, Albertus alternates home-road-home-road games starting with a home non-conference doubleheader against John Jay (Apr. 22). The next day, Albertus takes on Emmanuel (Mass.) (Apr. 23) in a road clash followed by the Falcons' home finale against Lasell (Apr. 26).

Albertus will close out the 2019 regular season with a road doubleheader at Regis (Mass.) on April 27.
