HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After dominating possession for the first three minutes of the third period, the Falcons got on the board at the 3:06 mark as Martin provided a centering pass just in front of the net past a Hilbert defender and Whitney was able to put the puck home to make it a 1-0 game.
  • Walsh scored her first goal just over five minutes later as she gathered a loose puck off a rebound and fired a shot past Hilbert goaltender, Tia Card to make it a 2-0 game.
  • Garbacik scored 54 seconds later to make it a 3-0 game as she took the puck from their own blue line and skated all the way up into Hilbert's zone and floated a shot past Card for the final goal of the first period.
  • Just 59 seconds into the second period, Walsh scored her second goal as she took a backhanded pass from Dellacroce and put home a wide open, point-blank shot in front of the net, making it 4-0.
  • It only took 74 more seconds to make it a 5-0 game as Price took a wrist shot from the blue line into the back of the net.
  • Walsh's historic goal came on the power-play at the 4:01 mark as she took a centering pass from Clark right in front of the open net, making it 6-0.
  • Laser scored her goal at the 6:11 mark, stuffing in a loose puck in front of the net.
