Women's Lacrosse Weekly Preview: Simmons

Last Week: The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team went 1-2 last week, sandwiching a non-conference road win versus Bay Path around a pair of conference setbacks versus St. Joseph (Conn.) and Norwich. Albertus Magnus enters the week with a 1-9 overall record and an 0-6 mark in league play. In their first win of the season, the Falcons battled back from three separate two-goal deficits and scored three of the game's last four markers versus Bay Path. On the week, freshman Aida Sarr netted seven goals for Albertus Magnus.

This Week: The Falcons travel to the Bay State to square off with Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe Simmons on Saturday.

Last Spring Versus Simmons: The Sharks topped the Falcons, 20-4, last March in New Haven. Jenny Luna paced the Falcon attack with two goals, three ground balls and two draw controls. In the cage, Maria Case turned aside 11 shots in a losing effort.

Albertus Notes:
- The Falcons are averaging just under five goals per game this season. In their non-conference win against Bay Path, AMC scored a season-high 12 goals led by Sarr and Luna with four goals apiece.
-In the cage this spring, Lexie Fenn has made 117 saves to go along with a .389 save percentage.
-Offensively, Sarr leads the team with 16 goals, 18 points, two assists and 13 draw controls. Miranda Jassil has added 11 markers this year and Luna has netted 10 tallies in limited action.
