The Albertus Magnus women's soccer team battled the University of Saint Joseph to a scoreless tie in double-overtime on Saturday afternoon as the Falcons remain unbeaten in their last seven contests.

Christina Dineson (Milford, Conn.) made the start in net for the Falcons in the team's fifth shutout of the season. Dineson played just under 48 minutes and recorded two saves, while Maria Case (West Haven, Conn.) played 62:16 in net and made eight stops for the Falcons.

Shelley Mirmina led the Falcons with six shots as her team outshot the Blue Jays 13-12 on the afternoon. Saint Joseph registered three shots in the final period of the contest but Case stopped all three attempts to keep the match knotted at zero.

Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.) added four shots for the Falcons as well.

The Blue Jays' Melissa Dodge played all 110 minutes for her team as she made seven stops in the shutout. Katie Mirabella took a team-high four shots as her team moved to 6-1-1 on the year.

The Falcons will return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 25 as they will host Simmons College in GNAC play. That match is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start time.
