WINTHROP, Mass. – In recognition of her career day against Mitchell College on Thursday, Sept. 5, Albertus Magnus College women's soccer junior Katherine Raposo (Warwick, R.I.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Raposo was critical in the Falcons' 10-0 victory over Mitchell, contributing on five of the team's scores with three goals and two assists. She also posted a perfect 1.000 shot percentage, needing just three shots to achieve the hat trick.
Following Thursday's result, Raposo is tied for second in the conference in both goals (3) and assists (2), while owning sole possession of second in points (8). With Thursday's convincing win, Albertus sits at 1-1 on the young season.
The Falcons continue non-league action on Wednesday, Sept. 11, against Bay Path University. The mid-week match is slated to begin at 7 p.m. at Celentano Field.
