HOW IT HAPPENED
Albertus stormed out early to a 1-0 lead with a goal by Amanda McGeehan (Milford, Conn.) in the 16th minute. The unassisted tally is the second for McGeehan in her freshman campaign.

Kaila Lemmer knotted the score at 1-1 with a 24th-minute strike. Lemmer's shot was one of just four for Norwich in the first half, with only two of those attempts being on goal.

The exciting first half continued with another goal by the Falcons, as Katherine Raposo (Warwick, R.I.) put the road team up 2-1. On the season, Raposo leads the GNAC with 30 points and 13 goals.

The second half was much quieter than the first, as the lone score of the frame was the aforementioned game-tier. Despite facing 12 shots in the second half, Albertus' defense held firm by allowing just the one score. The Falcons' starting keeper, Cassidy Scofield (Shelton, Conn.), made seven of her eight saves in the second half.

The two overtime periods did not feature many offensive chances, but both teams registered one shot on goal. Norwich put one on frame in the first OT, but Sammara Streater (Hamden, Conn.), who played both overtime periods, made the save to conserve the tie. In the second overtime, Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) tallied a shot on goal in the 108th minute with the Cadets' keeper denying the last opportunity of the game.
