NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team is set to kick off the 2022 campaign on Thursday, Sept. 1, under Head Coach Nicholas Wajnowski in his 16th season.
The Falcons are slated to play 17 matches in 2022, nine at home and eight on the road. Of its 17 contests, Albertus will play a 13-match Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) schedule.
AMC's 2022 season opener will happen at home at Celentano Field against in-state foe Mitchell College at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1. Two days later, the Falcons open their road slate against the City College of New York (CCNY) on Saturday, Sept. 3.
The Falcons will then play three straight home games, two out of GNAC play. Battles against non-league foes Fisher College (Sept. 7) and Rutgers University-Newark (Sept. 14) bookend a 1 p.m. tilt versus Regis (Mass.) College (Sept. 10) to open conference action.
Albertus closes out September with two home and two away GNAC contests. The Falcons will challenge Lasell University (Sept. 21) and Anna Maria College (Sept. 28) at home while playing both Colby-Sawyer (Sept. 17) and Elms College (Sept. 24) on the road.
The Falcons will play a majority of their matches on the road in October, with just three home contests slated to go along with five road bouts. AMC welcomes the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Oct. 12), Saint Joseph's (Me.) College (Oct. 15) for Homecoming, and Johnson & Wales (R.I.) University (Oct. 25) in its regular-season finale. Albertus hits the road for matches against Simmons University (Oct. 1), Emmanuel (Mass.) College (Oct. 5), Rivier University (Oct. 8), Dean College (Oct. 19), and Norwich University (Oct. 22).
