Women's Soccer Receives Team Academic Award From United Soccer Coaches

United Soccer Coaches Release

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In recognition of its outstanding performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year, the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team earned a Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches.

To be eligible for this award, a team had to post a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The Falcons finished well above 3.0 by posting a combined GPA of 3.26. In total, the United Soccer Coaches recognized 813 programs (307 men, 506 women).

"This program continues to succeed on and off the field," said Head Coach Nick Wajnowski. "The yearly recognition never gets old. All credit to that team and their work ethic."

On the field, the Falcons finished 2021 with an 11-6 overall record and a 9-4 mark in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) to earn the No. 5 seed in the GNAC Tournament. AMC is set to kick off the 2022 season in just eight days, as Albertus welcomes Mitchell College for a home 7 p.m. contest on Thursday, Sept. 1.
