Women's Swimming & Diving Concludes Season at NEISDA's

KINGSTON, R.I. – The Albertus Magnus College women's swimming & diving team wrapped up the 2021-22 season at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships, hosted by University of Rhode Island. The Falcons placed 13th out of 15 teams at the event. 

Freshmen Sabrinna Accioly (West Haven, Conn.) and Maria Estrada (Guatemala City, Guatemala) represented the Falcons at the four-day event, which wrapped up Sunday evening.

Accioly swam in the 50-yard freestyle finals on Friday evening, clocking a time of 27.85 to place 28th in the event. She also completed a time trial in the 100-yard butterfly. 

Estrada took part in two finals, the 50-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard individual medley. In the 50 back, the Guatemala City native collected four points after a 21st-place showing with a time of 38.07. She capped off her stellar showing with a 17th-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:34.64 for nine points. Estrada shaved almost three seconds off of her time in the prelims. She also took part in a time trial of the 100-yard breaststroke.
