Flushing, N.Y. - The Albertus Magnus College women's tennis team defeated Vaughn College, 9-0, on Thursday evening at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In doubles play, the visitors took all three matches to take an early edge over the Warriors. The tandem of sophomore's Nallely Magana (East Haven, Conn.) and Paige Williams (Orange County, Va.) netted an 8-1 win a No. 3 doubles as did the team of freshman Jessica Coughlin (Durham, Conn.) and senior Kelsea Wildman (Hamden, Conn.) at No. 2. The duo of juniors Alicia Weaver (Bethel, Conn.) and Izzy Sabino (Cheshire, Conn.) recorded their third win of the season, following an 8-4 win at No. 1.
In singles play, Albertus Magnus cruised to victories in all six matches to earn their second shut out of the season. Coughlin recorded her second shutout of the season as she defeated Emily German at No. 2, 10-0.
