Led by 10 kills and 11 digs from senior Melissa Manning (Milford, Conn.) the Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team came from behind to defeat Elms College 3-1 in its final match of the 2013 Blazer Challenge on Saturday afternoon. 

The Falcons' (1-2) match saw a total of 29 tied scores and 17 lead changes as Elms opened the match with a 25-20 victory before Albertus bounced back.  The Falcons won three-straight sets to hand Elms its third-consecutive loss.

Lily Dy (Torrington, Conn.) and sophomore Alyssa Puccilli (Milford, Conn.) totaled a team-best 15 digs a piece, while Dy dished out 23 assists.

Freshman Caitlin Prete (Milford, Conn.) added 12 digs.

Both Manning and Puccilli were named to the Blazer Challenge All-Tournament Team for their efforts.  Manning combined for 37 digs and 27 kills in three matches.  She averaged 3.08 digs and 2.25 kills per set.  Puccilli tallied 34 digs and eight service aces in the tournament, while she averaged a 2.83 digs per set showing.

Albertus will return to action on Friday, Sept. 6 in a 4:00 p.m. contest at Newbury.
