Women's Volleyball Tops Saint Joseph's (ME), Splits Homecoming Tri-Match

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team earned its first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory of the season on Saturday by defeating Saint Joseph's (ME), 3-1, at its home tri-match held during Homecoming Weekend. In the first match of the day, the Falcons fell to Rutgers-Newark in straight sets.

• The Scarlet Knights outhit the Falcons by the tune of .219-to-.098.
• Albertus held a 9-6 lead over Rutgers-Newark in aces.
Diana Kalman (Naugatuck, Conn.) paced the Falcons' offense with eight kills.
Jaiden Williams (Orange, Conn.) was also at the center of the offense with 16 assists on the team's 24 kills.
• Williams notched her eighth double-double on the year with 16 assists and 10 digs.
Jesselle Guzman (El Paso, Texas) was also strong defensively with 19 digs to lead all players.
