WINTHROP, Mass. – The 14 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's volleyball head coaches unveiled the 2022 GNAC Preseason Poll on Wednesday afternoon, as the Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team was tabbed 13th.

The Falcons finished their first season under Head Coach Ashley David with three wins in 2021, sweeping Lesley University and CCNY in addition to a four-set victory over GNAC foe Dean College. AMC bested 14th-place Anna Maria College in the preseason poll by 17 points.

After finishing as the GNAC Championship runners-up last season, the Raiders of Rivier University took the top spot on the today's poll with 189 points and seven of the possible 14 first-place votes. In second place is Johnson & Wales (R.I.) University, who just won their sixth consecutive GNAC Title in 2021, as the Wildcats garnered 181 points and four first-place votes.

Simmons University was third in the rankings with 168 points and the final three first-place votes, edging Lasell University (147) in fourth place. Regis (Mass.) College (134) took fifth place, while Norwich University (125) and Elms College (117) rounded out the teams with 100-plus points in sixth and seventh place, respectively.

Colby-Sawyer College (87), Saint Joseph's College of Maine (84), and Emmanuel (Mass.) College (68) concluded the top 10 teams in the poll. The University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) (65) in 11th, Dean (46) in 12th, Albertus Magnus in 13th, and Anna Maria (21) in 14th brought an end to the preseason rankings.
