Falcons Run at 18th Annual James Earley Invitational

Both the Albertus Magnus men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 18th Annual James Earley Invitational on Saturday at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass.

Thirty-five teams and 347 runners raced in today's men's race which was on an 8k (five mile) course.  Westfield took first place as a team with 77 points to edge Division II Sienna College with 84 points.

Babson's Mark Gulesian took the top spot in the race.

John Snow took the first spot for the Falcons as he finished in 177 in a time of 29:56.76.  Castel Jean-Francois followed with a time of 37:48.55.  As a team, the Falcons finished in 34th place out of 35 teams.

 

In the women's race, a 5k course, the Falcons were led by Leyna Andren who finished with a time of 28:47.52.  Rebecca Weinberger finished in a time of 29:37.63.

A total of 39 teams and 371 runners participated in the women's race with Williams College taking first place with 46 points, placing three runners in the top eight and five in the top 16.
