The Albertus Magnus College Baseball team was about progress and growth.  The Falcons started out 1-11 on the season but ended up 15-18 including finishing the regular season with a 7 game winning streak and hosting a play-off game for the first time in 8 seasons.  "I was proud of the way our student-athletes progressed over the season.  We played the most challenging schedule in the 18 year history of the program and made big strides over the course of the season," Head Coach Brian Leighton said.  The Falcons advanced to the second round of the play-offs for the first time in 4 seasons but lost two close play-off games to end their season.  The Falcons graduate two players who played significant innings this season but return virtually the entire roster.  "We will be playing an even more ambitious schedule in 2010 to prepare us for a deep postseason run. I expect great things out of this team in 2010," stated Leighton.
