  • 2021-22 GNAC Academic All-Conference Honorees Announced

    WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its All-Academic Team for the 2021-22 school year. This year, 88 student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 1,274 honorees named to the Academic Team from 14 full-time institutions and four associate member institutions in the conference.
  • Michael Kobylanski Named Director of Athletics at Albertus Magnus College

    New Haven, Conn, June 6, 2022 –  Albertus Magnus College is pleased to announce Michael Kobylanski has been selected as Director of Athletics for the College’s NCAA Division III athletics programs, which currently fields teams in 16 sports.  Kobylanski, who was selected after a comprehensive, national search, will assume his new role starting July 11.

    WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) unveiled its All-Conference selections for the 2022 season on Tuesday afternoon, and three members of the Albertus Magnus College baseball team were recognized. Senior Matt Lewczyk (Windsor, Conn.), junior Jason Sullivan (Meriden, Conn.), and junior Sean Jefferson (West Haven, Conn.) all were named to the All-GNAC Third Team.

    The Albertus Magnus College baseball team posted a 10-23 overall record in the 2022 regular season and an 8-10 mark in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. After a solid regular season, the Falcons were slotted sixth in the GNAC standings heading into the league's championship tournament, which earned them a first-round matchup against the third-seeded Wildcats of Johnson & Wales University.

Murphy was named the league's Player of the Week, while Smith took home Rookie of the Week accolades.

    HAMDEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team suffered a 16-5 setback to the Knights of Mt. St. Mary's (N.Y) on Wednesday night in a home non-conference match-up. Khamari Dunlap (Nashville, Tenn.) led the way for the Falcons on offense, going 2-for-3 with two home runs, two runs scored, and four RBIs. Yandy James (Paterson, N.J.) also had a good day at the plate for the blue-and-white, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a run scored, and an RBI.

The Falcons battled through a 7-3 extra-innings defeat in game one before taking the nightcap by a final score of 5-4 on a walk-off wild pitch.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team split a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) twin bill with the Bulldogs of Dean College, taking the opener by a final score of 4-1 behind a brilliant complete-game performance from Tyler Baldwin (Cromwell, Conn.). Baldwin struck out a season-high eight hitters while permitting just five hits. The Bulldogs took the nightcap by a final score of 6-4, despite a trio of home runs from the Falcons, which included back-to-back bombs from Jason Sullivan (Meriden, Conn.) and Matt Warren (Wolcott, Conn.) in the sixth inning.

Four teams – Albertus Magnus, Southern Connecticut State University, Town of Milford, and Town of North Branford – are set to compete in the tournament along with student-athletes from the various 15 Albertus athletic teams.
