NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Justice Washington (Hamden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team was named Great Northeas-t Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for his performance during the week of January 8-14.

During a 2-0 week for the Falcons, Washington averaged a double-double 17 points and 15.5 rebounds and two blocks during the week.

In a 74-69 GNAC win over Mitchell on January 10, Washington had 19 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks in the win. Nine of his rebounds were offensive. 

On Saturday, January 13, Washington had 15 points and 15 rebounds to go with a steal in a 86-76 overtime win over Saint Joseph's (Me.). The win helped the Falcons stay undefeated in GNAC play at 5-0 and in first place in the conference.

This season, Washington is averaging 16.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. He has nine double-doubles on the season. It is the second time this season Washington has been named GNAC Player of the Week. 

The Falcons return to action on Tuesday at home against Johnson and Wales at 7:30 p.m.
