BOX SCORE

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Raiders struck first offensively as the visitors scored three unanswered goals over the first 10 minutes to take the early lead over the Falcons.
  • At the 9:21 mark of the first period, Manning was able to find the back of the net for the Falcons following a pass from Alex Gagnon (Montreal, Quebec) to bring the hosts to within two, 3-1.
  • Manning's goal was his 11th of the season, while Gagnon picked up his 17th assist.

  • Rivier struck again offensively less than three minutes later to make it a three-goal deficit, once again, for the Falcons, 4-1.
  • Albertus defended the Raiders' attack for the next eight minutes until Rivier's Carson Fotheringham sent a puck past the Falcon goalkeeper to make it a 5-1 contest heading into the first intermission.
  • AMC managed to cut the deficit to three, 5-2, midway through the second period following a good goal from Cianci at the 14:25 mark.
  • Bradey Farrell (Burrillville, R.I.) and Stephen Kyrkostas (Long Island, N.Y.) passed the puck around before finding Cianci, who fired a missile past the keeper's stick side into the top-right corner of the net for the Falcon's second goal of the game.

  • The Falcons continued to battle, peppering Rivier's keeper Luke Newell with a barrage of shots over the third period and out-shooting the visitors by a 22-8 margin.
  • Unfortunately for AMC, Newell went a perfect 22-for-22 in saves in the third frame to stave off the Falcon's late comeback attempt.
