Albertus Magnus No. 15th In USCHO Poll, Crack Rankings For First Time In Program History

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's hockey team cracked the United States College Hockey Organization (USCHO) Weekly Division III Poll for the first time in program history, coming in at No. 15 after the first week of the 2023-2024 season in just its fourth season.

Albertus earned 22 voting points, just behind Geneseo, who is ranked 14th. Defending champion Hobart was ranked first, followed by Adrian and Utica to round out the top three.

The Falcons opened the season on fire after a pair of 6-2 wins over Suffolk and Johnson and Wales University on October 27th and 28th, respectively.

In the win over Suffolk, Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) scored two goals and had two assists, while Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario) finished with 30 saves.

Against the Wildcats, Zeth Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) finished with a hat trick, Sam Anderson (Calgary, Alberta) with two goals while Zane Kindrachuk added another goal on the day. Bateman had another stellar outing in the net with 21 saves.

The Falcons have yet to trail this season.

Up next for the Falcons is a home-and-home series against Wilkes on November 3 and 4. Wilkes will host the first game at five while the Falcons will host the game on November 4 at 5 p.m.
