HOW IT HAPPENED
Both Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario) of Albertus and Cayden Bailey of Salve Regina were brick walls through the first 16 minutes of the game as they combined to stop the first 20 shots of the game. But at the 16:04 mark, the Falcons were able to get on the board as Caden Pattison (Lake Stevens, Wa.) skated towards the pipe, passed the puck behind him to a cutting Cameron Weitzman (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec) who stuffed it in for his first goal of the season. The Falcons would go into the first intermission leading, 1-0.

The second period began with a four on four after two penalties at the end of the first period. No teams could convert and it stayed that way the rest of the period as Bateman had 11 saves and Bailey, 13 as the period ended with the Falcons still up one.

In the third, the Falcons looked destined to win via shutout, but on a 6-on-5 advantage for the Seahawks with under a minute remaining, Damon Zimmer received a bullet pass in front of the net from Hoon Kim and stuffed one in with 43 seconds remaining to tie the game and send it into overtime.

In the 3-on-3 extra frame, Lavoie skated the length of the ice and fired a point-blank shot at Bailey to give the Falcons the win.
