BOXSCORE

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons opened the scoring when a puck was sent down the ice by Cameron Weitzman (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec) to Zane Kindrachuk, who was just released out of the penalty box.  After gathering the puck, Zane then sent a shot past Manhattanville goaltender, William Billequey to the right for an early 1-0 lead at the 8:31 mark.

The Falcons outshot the Valiants in the first period, 10-6, however, Manhattanville found its opportunity to even the score with just under four minutes until intermission on a goal from Caden Eaton on a power play on a one-timer on a pass from Dan Barry. The game remained tied into the second period..

At the 13:29 mark of the second period, the Falcons pushed for another goal. Sam Witt (Calgary, Alberta) set Harley Michaels (Kirkland, Quebec) up for a one-timer that tipped off the stick of Pattison to score and put Albertus up, 2-1. The Falcons would take that lead into the third period

At the 3:44 mark in the third, Manhattanville tied the game again,  as Artem Mateichenko found Lane Paddison in front of the net as he stuffed it home to make it a 2-2 game.

With the Falcons looking like they would head to a second consecutive overtime game, Hicks scored with just 58 seconds remaining as  Connor Bertamini (Calgary, Alberta) collected the puck from Bateman back in the defensive zone, drove up the ice and crossed it to Hicks who tapped it past Billequey.  It was the first career goal for Hicks.
