  • HOW IT HAPPENED
After a fairly quiet first half of the first period, Williams got on the board on a goal from Nicholas Rashkovsky who backhanded a shot in off a pass from Connor Berg to put the Ephs up, 1-0 at the 10:43 mark.
  • The game would remain the same score through almost the next period in a half until the Ephs went up, 2-0 with just nine seconds left in the second period on a 4-on-4 when Connor Tobin took a pass from Owen Stadheim and ripped a one-timer past Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario) to make it a 2-0 game.
  • The Falcons wasted little time in the third period as Sam Anderson got them on the board on a power play as Harley Michaels (Kirkland, Quebec) split two defenders on a pass and gave Anderson a clear path to the net for his sixth goal of the season.
  • Just 38 seconds later, the Ephs went back up by two goals against on the power play as Stadheim took a pass from Jared Lambright on a 4-on-3 to make it a 3-1 game just 1:20 into the third.
  • The Falcons answered with a power-play goal of their own at the 4:26 mark as Lavigne ripped a slap shot off a pass from Tyler Ignazzitto that navigated through traffic and past Williams' goaltender Cal Sandquist to make it a 3-2 game.
  • However, that would be the final goal of the game as Williams held on to the win.
