HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Manning opened up the scoring for the Falcons at the 8:51 mark of the first period as Tyler Ignazzitto (Bath, Ontario) grabbed a loose puck off the boards and backhanded a pass to Manning who took a point-blank shot at Neumann goaltender, Cole DeFazio to put Albertus up. It was Manning's sixth goal of the season.
  • Neumann tied the game up in the second period at the 5:43 mark as Tyler Inlow's shot from the right faceoff circle got past Albertus goaltender Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario).
  • The game appeared to be heading to the third period tied, but with just three seconds remaining in the second period Berdal was fed a pass from Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) and punched it in just before getting into the crease to make it a 2-1 game.
  • Berdal gave the Falcons some insurance in the third period at the 6:39 mark as he gathered the puck and took a shot from just in front of the Neumann bench that found its way through a sea of players for his second goal of the game and fourth of the season. Charles Lavoie (Chicoutimi, Quebec) earned the assist on the goal.
