MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's ice hockey team lost a tough 2-1 game in overtime to Wesleyan University on Tuesday evening on the road.
William Lavigne (Saine-Anne-des-Lacs, Quebec) scored the lone goal for the Falcons, while D.J. Dixon scored both goals, including the game-winner in overtime for the Cardinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Goals were hard to come by through nearly the first 50 minutes as goaltenders Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario) of Albertus and Wesleyan's Marc Smith kept the puck out of the net.
- Bateman stopped the first 14 shots he faced until Dixon got the Cardinals on the board during a power play as he poked in a shot during a scrum in front of the net at the 8:48 mark of the third period.
- At the 11 minute mark of the third the Falcons got themselves on the board as Lavigne put his third goal of the season in net. After receiving a pass from Tim Manning (Concord, Ohio), Lavigne snapped a shot through defenders and past Smith to tie the game, 1-1.
- The score remained that way to the end of the third period when Dixon scored a game-winner on a one-timer off a pass from Danny Judge to give the Cardinals the win.
