HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Rivier got on the board at the 3:05 mark of the first on a goal from Avery Arnold after receiving a backhand pass from Jack Tos and he skated towards the net and punched it in.
  • Zeth Kindrachuk put Albertus on the board  on the power play at 11:38 in the first when a shot from Weitzman went off the post and right to Kindrachuk for his eighth goal of the season.
  • Rivier scored back-to-back goals, the first of which came less than two minutes after Albertus got on the board as Shawn Golden made it a 2-1 game. Tos made it a 3-1 game when a misplayed puck found his stick and he backhanded a shot past Logan Bateman (Ottawa, Ontario) at the 16:17 mark.
  • Just 41 seconds later, Patterson made it a 3-2 game as Bailey Kirwin made a pass from behind the net to Patterson who found a hole in the defense between the two faceoff circles and ripped a shot past Rivier goaltender, Luke Newell.
  • Patterson's goal was the first of five straight for Albertus as it continued its scoring in the second period with two goals. Just 31 seconds into the second period, Manning tied the game up after a battle for the puck behind the net. Manning eventually gained some control of the puck and stuffed it in around the pipe for his seventh goal of the season.
  • With an assist already in hand, Weitzman scored at the 12:39 mark on a 4-on-4 to give Albertus its first and only lead as William Lavigne fed the puck to Weitzman who skated in all alone for his fifth goal of the season.
  • Hick made it a two-goal advantage for the Falcons at the 10:07 mark in the third period when Kyle Dann skated around the net with the puck and fed Hicks who was skating towards the net. Hicks took a wrist shot past Newell for his fourth goal of the season.
  • Herpy scored his first career goal at the 18:11 mark of the third period after stealing the puck from Liam Hennessy and sending it all the way down the ice into the net for the final tally of the game.
