Head Men's Hockey Coach Kyle Wallack Named Edward Jeremiah Award Finalist

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Albertus Magnus College men's ice hockey head coach Kyle Wallack was named one of 12 finalists for the 2023-24 Edward Jeremiah Award, given annually to the Division II-III Men's Ice Hockey Coach of the Year.

The award was named after the former Dartmouth head coach. The award will  be announced on Wednesday, March 20 in Hartford, Conn. as Trinity College will be hosting the NCAA Men's Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championships.

Wallack and his Falcons finished the season with a 16-9 season which was best among D-III Independents for the third consecutive season. Over the last three seasons, Wallack has gone 49-24-2.

In each of the previous two seasons, Wallack has been named a finalist for the 2021-22 Edward Jeremiah Award, which is given annually to the College Division II-III Men's Ice Hockey Coach of the Year.

Albertus has won at least 16 games in each of the last three seasons. The biggest win for the Falcons this season was a 2-1 overtime win at home over No. 10 Salve Regina. They also had shutout wins over Neumann and Nichols.

In the last two seasons, Wallack has also coached the Division III Independent Men's Hockey Players of the Year, which included Alex Gagnon in 2023 and Logan Bateman in 2024. He also had six players named to All-Independent teams this season.

The nominees represent any coach who won or shared Coach of the Year honors in his conference this past season, along with coaches whose teams advanced to the NCAA Men's Division III Ice Hockey Championships to be hosted by Trinity College this weekend.
