  • DeCarli named Conference SID of the Year

    Albertus Magnus College Assistant Director of Athletics/Sports Information Director Kristen DeCarli was voted the 2012 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Sports Information Director of the Year. The announcement was made by GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh in advance of the 2012 GNAC Professional Development Seminar on August 7 and 8 in Boston, Massachusetts. DeCarli will accept her award on the final day of the seminar.
  • 2011-12 GNAC All-Academic Team Announced

    The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2011-12 school year. Twenty-two student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 618 members of the Academic Team from 14 institutions in the conference.

  • 2011-12 Championships and Major Accolades

    The Albertus Magnus Department of Athletics had a very successful 2011-12 year, producing two GNAC Regular-Season Championship teams, one GNAC Tournament Championship team, two All-Americans and 33 All-Conference Team selections.
  • Albertus Magnus Announces Athletes of the Year

    At the 2012 Athletics Banquet on Tuesday, May 8, the Albertus Magnus Department of Athletics presented three student-athletes with the honor of Athlete of the Year as Samantha Farley (Shelton, Conn.) was named the Female Athlete of the Year, while both Ray Askew (Hamden, Conn.) and Jamal Howard (West Haven, Conn.) were named Male Athlete of the Year.
  • Celebrate Frankie’s Birthday/Student-Athlete Appreciation Day

    Albertus Magnus College will celebrate the birthday of its mascot, Frankie the Falcon, in honor of Student-Athlete Appreciation Day on April 4. Student-Athlete Appreciation Day is honored annually on April 6 but with the day falling on Good Friday, Frankie’s birthday will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 4 at noon in the DeDominicis Dining Hall.
  • Zapata, Howard Earn ECAC Honors

    The Albertus Magnus men’s soccer team had two individuals earn Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) honors, which were announced Thursday evening. Jamal Howard (West Haven, Conn.) was named an ECAC Division III New England First-Team All- Star, while Stephen Zapata (Hamden, Conn.) was tagged with Second-Team honors.
  • Howard Earns Prestigous Honor, Becomes First-Ever Albertus Magnus All-American

    Albertus Magnus senior Jamal Howard (West Haven, Conn.) has been named to the 2011 NSCAA/Continental Tires NCAA Men’s Soccer Division III All-America Second Team. Howard is the first-ever Albertus Magnus student-athlete to earn All-America status.

After choosing to attend Albertus for its small atmosphere and soccer program, Victor pursued his dreams of playing college soccer and created a legacy for himself with the Falcons’ soccer program.
  • Brandeis Wins ECAC Title with 8-0 Win over Falcons

    The Albertus Magnus men’s soccer season ended on Sunday after an 8-0 loss to Brandeis in the ECAC Tournament Championship game. For the Judges, it was their second-straight ECAC title win.
  • Men's Soccer Outlasts Castleton State 5-3

    The Albertus Magnus men’s soccer team came from behind to defeat Castleton State College 5-3 on Saturday afternoon in the ECAC Tournament semifinals at Brandeis University. Lindsley Barrett (Shelton, Conn.) recorded his first career hat trick to help extend the Falcons’ season as they will now face Brandeis on Sunday in the ECAC New England Championship game. That contest will begin at noon.

    New Haven, CT - Due to the snowstorm that took place in New England on Saturday October 29, both Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) soccer playoff games, scheduled to be played at Albertus Magnus College were postponed. The games will be played on Monday October 31 with the Men's GNAC quarterfinal game against Mount Ida College starting at 12:00pm and the Women's GNAC quarterfinal game against Simmons College starting at 2:30 pm.

  • Howard Becomes All-Time Points Leader, Earns Single-Season Goals Scored Record

    Jamal Howard (West Haven, Conn.) scored in the 15th minute of play to become the Albertus Magnus men’s soccer all-time leader in points as he finished the day with 111 career points. With three goals in today’s match, Howard surpassed Vic Crespo’s single-season record of 18 goals. Howard now has 19 in 2011.
  • Falcons Finish a Perfect 10-0 in GNAC Play
