WINTHROP, Mass. - Senior outfielder Angelina Ramada (North Branford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College softball team was tabbed as this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
Ramada helped guide the Falcons to a 2-0 week down in Myrtle Beach, S.C., as the senior outfielder finished with a slash line of .800/.875/1.200 with two doubles, four runs scored, and five RBIs. In the Falcons' 9-1 win over Wilson, Ramada went 2-for-3 at the plate, with both hits coming as doubles, and tallied a team-high three RBIs. She closed out the week going 2-for-2, including three runs scored and a pair of RBI in the 18-11 victory over Skidmore.
The softball team is back in action on Wednesday, March 15, with a non-conference doubleheader against Stevenson and Scranton. Game times are set for 9 AM and 3 PM in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
