NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Paige Scheid (Cedar Grove, N.J.) and Amanda Savinelli (New Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College softball team were named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll after their performance during a 4-2 week for the Falcons between April 22-28.

Scheid has been on a tear at the plate as she hit .524 (11-for-21) with a triple, six runs, two RBI, five stolen bases while drawing four walks. She also had three straight games with three hits.

In a 3-1 win over the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) in the second game of a doubleheader, Scheid went 2-for-4 with a run on April 24. 

During a doubleheader against Lasell on April 27, Scheid scored a run in game one and went 3-for-3 with a run, an RBI and two stolen bases.

Scheid reached base seven straight times during a doubleheader sweep of Elms on April 28. In a game one 4-0 win over the Blazers, Scheid went 3-for-3 with a run, an RBI, one walk and two stolen bases. Scheid led off game two with a triple enroute to an 8-3 win. She reached base in her first three at bats while scoring a run and stealing another base.

Scheid finished the regular season as the GNAC leader in hits with 56, fifth in batting average at .431 and fifth in stolen bases with 18.

Savinelli started the game one win against Elms, throwing six scoreless innings, giving up just three hits, two walks while striking out three. She also had three hits during the week, including a 2-for-4 performance with an RBI in an 11-0 win over USJ.
