NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming 2022 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament, which is slated to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 22, after finishing the regular season with a league mark of 15-2.

Albertus, who enters tournament week on a 12-game winning streak, is making its 20th appearance in the postseason and currently holds an all-time GNAC postseason record of 12-19.

The top-four seeds – Emmanuel (Mass.) College, Albertus Magnus, Saint Joseph's College of Maine, and Regis (Mass.) College – will play Tuesday's winners on Wednesday evening. 

In Tuesday's play-in round, #5 Saint Joseph (CT), #6 Rivier University, #7 Elms College, and #8 Norwich University will host the 9 thru 12 seeds (see complete schedule below). 

The Falcons will host the winner between #7 Elms and #10 Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday at "The Nest" at 5:30 p.m. 

The semifinals are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 25, with the highest remaining seed hosting the championship contest on Sunday, Feb 27.

There will be no reseeding throughout, with four first-round contests scheduled for this Tuesday, February 22, followed by the conference semifinals on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
