Ismaili Named To All-GNAC Second Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Erina Ismaili (Middlebury, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team was named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Second Team as the conference announced major awards and all-conference teams.

Ismaili made the All-GNAC second team for the first time as she scored a career-high ten goals on the season - which was seventh in the GNAC - to go with two assists.

Ismaili had two multi-goal games. She scored twice in a match against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on September 5 and both goals on two 35-yard strikes in a 2-2 tie with Elms on October 18. She also had a stretch during the season where she scored a goal in three consecutive games against Rivier, Norwich and Anna Maria. She also had two game-winning goals against Anna Maria and Dean.

She is ninth all-time in program history with 45 points and eighth in goals.

Aimee Diverniero (East Haven, Conn.) was also honored as she was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship team.
