WESTON, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College women's swimming & diving team had eight student-athletes earn New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) 2020 Fall All-Academic Team honors.
In order for a swimmer or diver to make the All-Academic Team, the student-athlete must have a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher. The eight Falcons recognized are part of 217 male or female student-athletes to reach this benchmark.
The list of Albertus honorees include Arle Cruceta (Salcedo, Dominican Republic), Arooba Sholmiyet (Islamabad, Pakistan), Chisunta Chikwamu (Lusaka City, Zambia), Crisbeth Castañeda (Guatemala City, Guatemala), Ana Lucia Gutierrez Gomez (Hermosillo, Mexico), Megan Anderson (Levittown, N.Y.), Roxhensa Dilolli (Plantsville, Conn.), and Yazlene Perez (New Haven, Conn.).
The Falcons' 2021 season is in full effect, as they have already competed in a pair of virtual meets and have challenged the University of Saint Joseph (CT) in in-person action. Through two weeks of virtual play, Albertus ranks fifth out of nine programs with a cumulative team score of 175 points.
