For the first time in her career, Chantal Simmons of the Albertus Magnus women's tennis team has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll.

Simmons, who plays in No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles for the Falcons, won two singles' matches on the weekend as well as two doubles' matches.

The senior leads the Falcons with a 4-1 overall record in doubles' play this season along with a 4-5 showing in singles action.

Simmons led her team to two victories over the weekend as the Falcons earned a dominating 8-1 win over Mount Ida in GNAC play before defeating Saint Joseph's College of Brooklyn 7-2 in non-conference action.

The GNAC win over the Mustangs marked the first victory in league action for the Falcons since defeating Pine Manor 8-1 on Sept. 22, 2010.
