  • 2012-13 GNAC All-Academic Team Announced

    The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2012-13 school year. Thirty-six student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 757 members of the Academic Team from 13 full-time institutions and 12 affiliate member institutions in the conference. The student-athletes selected had to meet the following criteria: maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average, complete at least one full season of competition at a GNAC institution and is of sophomore status academically.

  • Falcon Athletes Come Together for Volunteer Campus Clean-Up

    Hurricane Sandy, which left a path of destruction, flooding and power outages throughout the East Coast earlier this week, left quite a mess on the Albertus Magnus College campus. The Albertus Athletic Department, along with many of its student-athletes, quickly sprang into action, setting up a volunteer campus clean-up on Thursday, November 1.

    The Albertus Magnus men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Cross Country Championship on Saturday. The 18th running of the league race took place on the campus of Rivier University.

    The Albertus Magnus women's cross country team finished in 17th place at the Saint Joseph's College (L.I.) Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park on Saturday. Kelsey Proctor led the Falcons as she finished in 35th place in a time of 23:55.0.
  • Falcons Run 6k at Westfield State

    The Albertus Magnus women’s cross country team finished the 17th James Early Invitational at Stanley Park in 41st place out of 43 competing programs. The Falcons were led by Lianna Carrero, who was the team’s top finisher in a time of 32:00.06.

    The Albertus Magnus women's cross country team ran at the University of Saint Joseph Invitational in West Hartford, Conn. on Saturday morning as the Falcons took fourth place at the event.

  • Proctor Makes an Immediate Impact; Wins Mitchell Invitational

    Junior Kelsey Proctor led the Albertus Magnus women’s cross country team on Friday evening at the 2012 Mitchell Invitational with a first-place finish in the 4,667-meter race. Despite the team loss to Mitchell, Proctor finished in 19:40.8 for her first victory as an Albertus runner.
  • Cross Country Finishes Purchase Invitational despite Rain and Tornado Warnings

    Despite the heavy rains and tornado warnings, the Fifth Annual Purchase College Invitational went on as scheduled as both the Albertus Magnus men’s and women’s cross country teams finished in sixth place. The Falcons’ men’s team tallied 145 points, while the women’s team finished with 236 in their first race of the 2012 season.

    Albertus Magnus College has announced that Christina (Quirk) Mitaly has been promoted to Head Athletic Trainer after serving as an assistant for the past three years.
