The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2012-13 school year. Thirty-six student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 757 members of the Academic Team from 13 full-time institutions and 12 affiliate member institutions in the conference. The student-athletes selected had to meet the following criteria: maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average, complete at least one full season of competition at a GNAC institution and is of sophomore status academically.

The Albertus Magnus women’s cross country team finished the 17th James Early Invitational at Stanley Park in 41st place out of 43 competing programs. The Falcons were led by Lianna Carrero, who was the team’s top finisher in a time of 32:00.06.

Junior Kelsey Proctor led the Albertus Magnus women’s cross country team on Friday evening at the 2012 Mitchell Invitational with a first-place finish in the 4,667-meter race. Despite the team loss to Mitchell, Proctor finished in 19:40.8 for her first victory as an Albertus runner.
Despite the heavy rains and tornado warnings, the Fifth Annual Purchase College Invitational went on as scheduled as both the Albertus Magnus men’s and women’s cross country teams finished in sixth place. The Falcons’ men’s team tallied 145 points, while the women’s team finished with 236 in their first race of the 2012 season.
