In the second inning, Pasini recorded a two run-single, and senior Justin Miller (Prospect, CT) recorded an RBI-single to give the Blazers a commanding 6-1 lead. Elms added to their lead in the top of the third inning when senior Seamus Higgins (Rutland, MA) recorded an RBI-single to give the Blazers a 7-1 lead. Albertus threatened to come back in the fourth inning, as the Falcons scored three runs to cut the Blazers lead to three runs. However, the Falcons would not score the rest of the game, as the Elms pitching by senior Kyle Sebastyanski (Auburn, MA) remained strong, shutting the Falcons out the rest of the way. Elms added to their total in the top of the ninth inning with a Nohilly two-run home run, giving the Blazers a 9-4 win in game 1 of the doubleheader.
