Kimberly Keller and Matt Stoll Named Albertus Magnus College Student-Athletes of the Week

New Haven, Conn. – Freshman Kimberly Keller (Bridgeport, Conn.) of the women's volleyball team and senior Matt Stoll (Shelton, Conn.) of the men's soccer team have been named as the Albertus Magnus Student-Athletes of the Week. Initiated in September, 2017, the 'Athlete of the Week' program recognizes one female and one male student-athlete each week for demonstrated excellence on the playing field.

Keller recorded an impressive showing for the Falcons in a 2-2 week. She averaged a team-high 3.67 kills per set and posted an incredible .366 hitting percentage. The rookie recorded 10 or more kills in all four matches, including a career-high 23 kill's against Saint Joseph's of Maine. Also against the Monks, Keller posted a career-high six blocks to go along with a .422 hitting percentage and a dig. Keller finished the week averaging 0.73 blocks and 0.27 digs per set.

Stoll helped the Falcons win their seventh game of the year this past Saturday by registering the game-winning goal to defeat Rivier, 2-1. Stoll's marker was his first tally of the year.

The women's volleyball team returns to action this Wednesday, Oct. 18 as the Falcons host in-state foe Saint Joseph's (Conn.) at 7 pm. The men's soccer team hosts Johnson & Wales on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at Celentano Field.
