Marks, Ramada Named Falcon Spotlight Players of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Baseball pitcher Justin Marks (Beacon Falls, Conn.) and softball Angelina Ramada (North Branford, Conn.) were named this week's Albertus Magnus College Falcon Spotlight Players of the Week after an impressive week down in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

On Monday's 3-1 victory over Plymouth State University, Marks earned his first collegiate win as the left-handed hurler threw a complete game, allowing just one run on three hits. Marks also recorded a season-high six strikeouts over seven innings.

Ramada, who recently was named this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, helped guide the Falcons to a pair of wins over Wilson College and Skidmore College, as the senior outfielder finished with a slash line of .800/.875/1.200 with two doubles, four runs scored, and five RBIs. In the Falcons' 9-1 win over the Phoenix, Ramada went 2-for-3 at the plate, with both hits coming as doubles, and tallied a team-high three RBIs. She closed out the week going 2-for-2, including three runs scored and a pair of RBI in the 18-11 victory over the Thoroughbreds.
