NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Tom Sabin and Cameron Fox - two behind the scene stars of the Albertus Magnus College athletics program - are under the Falcon Spotlight in this week's Taking Flight.
Sabin and Fox have been invaluable to the Albertus athletics department during their time as Falcons contributing in countless ways, whether it's behind the mic, or behind the lens.
Sabin is "The Voice" of the Falcons, as he's been the public address announcer at Albertus home games, whether it's a must-see basketball game in The Nest, in the booth at Rochford Field for a baseball game or under the lights at Celentano Field for a soccer match.
On Saturday, February 17, Sabin made his 200th appearance as the public address announcer at Albertus during the men's basketball regular season finale against New England College.
When he's not The Voice at Albertus, he heads down to Bridgeport and works as the public address announcer for the AHL's Bridgeport Islanders.
If you have seen a photo on the Albertus Athletics website or on the various social media accounts, chances are it was taken by Fox.
He began his time as the women's lacrosse manager at Albertus and taking game photos of the team.
His work with the women's lacrosse team was lauded by his peers and athletics staff that he expanded to taking photos for all of the teams at Albertus.
Fox brings the action to life and has taken thousands of photos and videos both at home and on the road that have created lifetime memories for all Falcon student-athletes.
