Nicholas Wajnowski concluded his 16th season as the head coach of the women’s soccer program. He also serves as the Compliance Coordinator at Albertus Magnus College. In 2014-15, he was also named Senior Associate Director of Athletics from his previous title of Associate Athletic Director.

Wajnowski led the women’s soccer team to an overall 9-6-4 record and a conference mark of 6-4-3 while guiding his team to their second Great Northeast Athletic Conference semi-final appearance. On Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, against Fisher College, Wajnowski earned his 133rd career win to become the all-time wins leader in Albertus men's and women's soccer coaching history. Wajnowski surpassed Albertus Magnus Hall of Fame and former head men's soccer coach George Bedocs, who held the record with 132 wins over 15 years.

Graduate student Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) and freshman Amy Stevens (Lincoln, RI) each received All-Conference recognition, as Andrews was named to the 1st-Team All-Conference team for her fourth All-Conference nod. At the same time, Stevens took home both Third-Team Goalkeeper and All-Rookie Team honors. Andrews also was named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches Association All-Region I Second team, making her the first-ever player to earn this honor twice in their career. For their work in the classroom, Amanda McGeehan (Milford, Conn.) and Keegan Riccio (West Haven, Conn.) were named CSC Academic All-District Team. 

In 2021, Wajnowski guided the women’s soccer team to their best season since 2013, compiling an overall record of 11-6 while going 9-4 in the conference and leading Albertus to a second straight GNAC tournament quarterfinal appearance. The Falcons also picked up a crucial mid-season victory over Lasell University for the first time in program history. Under Coach Wajnowski, Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) earned All-Region honors and became the sixth player in program history to earn recognition from the United Soccer Coaches Association. Andrews also picked up her third All-Conference nod, being named to the Second Team. In contrast, Amanda McGeehan (Milford, Conn.) and Keegan Riccio (West Haven, Conn.) each picked up their first All-Conference accolade, being named to the second team.   

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Falcons could not compete in a regular-season or GNAC Tournament, but the team did play three exhibition games against Nichols, USJ (CT), and Becker. 

Wajnowski guided the Falcons to a bounce-back 2019 season, leading Albertus to an 8-8-1 overall record and an appearance in the GNAC Tournament Quarterfinals. The women's soccer team made its first post-season appearance in 2017. The duo of Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) and Katherine Raposo (Warwick, RI) represented the Falcons on the All-GNAC Team, with the former being named to the Second Team and the latter being named to the Third Team. 

The Albertus women's soccer team finished 2018 with an overall record of 4-12 and a 3-9 mark in league play. Following the season, rookie Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) was named to the All-Conference Third Team for her overall season performance for the Falcons.  

In 2017, Wajnowski's team battled to a 4-6-1 record in GNAC action, earning their ninth straight postseason appearance. The Falcons concluded the regular season with an overall record of 5-8-2 before the team lost to Johnson & Wales in penalty kicks in the GNAC Quarterfinals. This season, the Falcons recorded a pair of shutout wins over Suffolk, Regis (Mass.), and Norwich University and ranked third in the conference with a .149 shot percentage.

It was a record-breaking year in 2016 for the women's soccer team, as new program bests were set, and the team earned its first-ever berth in the GNAC Championship. The Falcons ended the fall with an 11-8-1 overall record and were the No. 3 seed in the GNAC Tournament thanks to posting a 7-3-1 mark in league play.

In his 10th year at the program's helm, Head Coach and alum Nick Wajnowski earned his 100th career victory in a 7-0 thumping of Suffolk at home in mid-October. Wajnowski is the winningest coach in program history and has been on the bench for 103 of the school's all-time wins. He is now 103-70-20 overall and 66-38-12 in conference play as the team's head coach.

Four Falcons received All-GNAC honors after the year, while junior Angelina Picirrillo earned a spot on the 2016 NSCAA All-New England Team. She becomes the fifth player in program history to earn NSCAA All-New England distinction and the first since Polvan picked up third-team honors in 2014.

The Falcons' success continues as Wajnowski led his team to their eighth consecutive GNAC postseason appearance in 2015.

The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team said goodbye to its most productive senior class under Wajnowski in 2015. The Falcons ended the fall with a 9-8-3 overall record and qualified for the GNAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed thanks to a 6-5 mark in league play. During their four years with the program, the senior class saw student-athletes set new school single-season and career records, advance to the conference tournament four times, amassed a 45-28-9 record, won three post-season games, and were part of the winningest season in program history (14 wins in 2013).

The Falcons saw a quartet of players earn All-GNAC honors following the year.

In 2014, his team finished the year 11-8-1 to mark the fifth-straight year registering 10 or more wins in a single season. Sophomore Danielle Polvan (East Haven, Conn.) was named to the NSCAA All-New England Third Team for her efforts on the season.

In 2013, the Falcons had what can be called their best season in program history as they finished the year with a 14-5-3 overall record and made an ECAC Tournament Championship game appearance. In the ECAC Tournament, the Falcons upset two teams en route to an appearance in the final game.  The biggest win in the history of the program came against nationally ranked and top seed Roger Williams University as the Falcons edged the Hawks 2-1 in overtime. 

The program earned a spot in the GNAC Tournament as the Falcons were also 2013 NSCAA Ethics/Sportsmanship Award winners as they earned the NSCAA's Silver Team Ethics Award.

Wajnowski coached Shannon Skidmore (Terryville, Conn.) as she became the program’s first-ever GNAC Defensive Player of the Year. At the same time, she was also an NSCAA All-New England First Team honoree and an ECAC DIII New England Second Team All-Star.

Skidmore and Shelley Mirmina (Milford, Conn.) earned prestigious academic honors as Skidmore was named an NSCAA College Division Women’s Scholar All-East Region Second Team member. At the same time, Mirmina was a Fourth Team member.  Meaghan Skidmore (Terryville, Conn.) was named an All-East Region Honorable Mention after being named a CoSIDA Academic All-District Team selection.  Jessica Radecki (Milford, Conn.) also received honorable mention recognition.

In 2012, the Falcons finished with an 11-7-2 overall record and made its first-ever appearance in the ECAC Tournament.  The Falcons were also 2012 NSCAA Ethics/Sportsmanship Award winners as they earned the NSCAA's Silver Team Ethics Award.

Senior Sam Farley (Shelton, Conn.) was named to the All-New England Region Third Team and became the first player in the history of the Falcons' women's soccer program to earn All-New England honors. In 2013, senior Danielle "DJ" Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.) became the all-time leader in career points, goals (tied), and assists for the Albertus Magnus women's soccer program.

In 2011, Wajnowski was named the GNAC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year as he led his team to a program-record 12-win season as the Falcons finished 12-7 on the year. The Falcons produced their most successful season in program history as they hosted their first-ever postseason contest and earned their first-ever postseason victory with a 2-0 win over Simmons College in GNAC Tournament play.

Sarah Boudreau led the Falcons as she was named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team, while teammate Kelly Marchitto was tagged as a Third Team member.

Wajnowski led his team to a 10-8-1 overall mark in 2010, which tied the previous program record in wins, which Wajnowski and his 2007 squad registered in his first season as the Falcons’ head coach.

In 2009, Wajnowski’s team battled to a 7-4-1 record in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action, earning a berth into postseason play. Despite losing Norwich in the GNAC quarterfinals as a No. 5 seed, the women’s soccer program had four student-athletes earn conference accolades.

Sarah Boudreau led the way by making First Team All-Conference as she registered three goals and one assist in seven shutouts, headling the Falcons in the backfield. Danielle Figueroa was tagged with Third Team honors as she led the team in goals (12), shots (64), and points (25). In the conference, Figueroa was ranked seventh in goals, ninth in points, and fifth with three game-winning goals. Samantha Farley and Christina Dineson also earned Third Team honors as Dineson held 1.41 goals allowed average in 13 games played. She also recorded 56 saves and three shutouts.

Wajnowski, a 2005 graduate of Albertus Magnus College, is the longest-tenured head coach for the Falcons’ women’s soccer team, a program that began in 2004. As a player at Albertus Magnus, he was a four-year starter under Hall of Fame Coach George Bedocs and received All-Conference and All-Tournament recognition in the GNAC throughout his playing years.
