Coach Leighton: "Erik has made himself into a nice player over the past three seasons.  He has developed his body and approach and really focused on improving.  His maturity has increased tremendously and is very evident to everyone in the program.  Erik will hit in the middle of the order and play second base for us this season.  We expect Erik to become one of the elite hitters in the GNAC this season."
