Junior Anthony Pellegrino (Branford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College baseball team has been named the month of April Male Student-Athlete of the Month.

In April, Pellegrino was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honor roll on April 7 and was named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team on April 28.  In 45 at-bats during the month of April, he had 19 hits and scored seven times.  He also tallied one stolen base to go along with six runs batted in.

He tallied four doubles during the month with two coming on April 19 against Norwich University.  Pellegrino also pitched two complete games in April and a total of 16.1 innings.  As a pitcher, he struck out eight batters as well.

Pellegrino is majoring in business management at Albertus Magnus College.
