The Albertus Magnus College baseball team has been picked sixth in the 2015 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Poll as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

The Falcons, who finished the 2014 season with an overall record of 16-14 and a GNAC finish of 7-7, went into the GNAC Tournament last year as the fifth seed before falling to fourth-seeded Johnson & Wales (R.I.) 4-0 in quarterfinal action.

Saint Joseph's Maine was picked as the league favorite after winning five-straight GNAC titles.  The Monks received six first-place votes in the league poll to go along with 61 points.

The Suffolk University Rams finished second in the poll with 54 points and with one first place vote, while Johnson & Wales (R.I.) was slated as the No. 3 team with a first-place vote as well. Lasell was picked as the fourth team with 35 points as Norwich followed in fifth with 28.

Albertus tallied 27 points in sixth as Anna Maria (17) and Rivier (13) followed for seventh and eighth, respectively.

Albertus is scheduled to open the season on Sunday, March 1 against Saint Joseph's College of Brooklyn in a noon-time doubleheader on the road.
